What goes up must come down – and the same holds true for temperatures this week as fall makes its way through Covington County.

Yesterday, steady winds began making their ways through trees to bring down the first wave of leaves. Morning joggers were greeted with crisp coolness and students in Andalusia waiting to catch the school bus were spotted in jackets.

Forecasts show that everyone will soon need to start and finish the day with at least a light jacket. The low tonight is set at 50 degrees, but temperatures will plummet for Friday’s football game to near 40 degrees.

Saturday will serve as a perfect backdrop for a bon fire and pumpkin carving with a high of 70 degrees and a low of 45. By Sunday, things will warm slightly with an expected high of 77 degrees and a low of 51.
