Three softball players signed their letters of intent to play at LBWCC Wednesday afternoon in the student center.

Jessica Carden of Shelby, Ala., Chanin Hancock of Sterrett, Ala. and Tara Trant of Slocomb, all pitchers, will be playing for the Lady Saints next season.

LBWCC softball coach Candace Tucker said what really attracted her to recruit these girls were their positions and that they can “hit well.”

“That’ll help also,” Tucker said.

In addition to their letters of intent, each signed a scholarship to play ball at the community college.
