According to Covington County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy David Anderson, deputies were dispatched to a residence on Lindsey Bridge Road to a domestic disturbance that had turned physical.

“Upon arrival deputies found a white male lying on the ground bleeding from an apparent wound in the chest area caused by a knife,” he said.

The male was identified as Morgan Riley, 57, of Lindsey Bridge Road.

Fifty-one-year-old Robert Allen Yovichin, who also lives at the residence, was charged with attempted murder and is being held in the Covington County Jail on a $500,000 bond.

Anderson said that Riley was transported to Andalusia Regional Hospital and later to a hospital in Pensacola by an air ambulance.
