Alabama residents will go to the polls today to elect Republican and Democratic nominees for the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Sen. Jeff Sessions earlier this year when President Donald Trump tapped him to become U.S. Attorney General.

Polls are open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Voters must choose a Democratic or Republican ballot.

As a reminder, no crossover voting is allowed, which means those who choose to vote today in the Republican primary will also have to vote in the Republican runoff. The same applies for choosing the Democratic primary.
