Art work, sports tickets up for grabs at ballet auction

Andalusia Ballet has chosen a French theme for its annual auction, set for this Saturday, August 25, organizer Gina Kerr said.

“Une Fete de Paris” will be the Ballet’s 25th annual event.

Kerr said the food will be French-themed, and professional auctioneer Jason Sasser will be on hand for the live auction part of the event, where items include:

  • Artwork by Larry Strickland
  • Vicki Popwell portrait painting
  • Blue Mountain Beach House getaway. The three-bedroom house sleeps eight.
  • Auburn University basketball tickets and autographed basketball, and two football tickets with access to a suite.
  • John Harbuck knife
  • A turkey hunt
  • A year’s worth of turf-building lawn treatments for up to an acre of turf

The food and beverage will be French-themed, and the event also includes a performance by the Senior Company dancers.

The auction is set for 7 p.m. on Sat., Aug. 25, at the Cultural Arts Centre on Church Street. Tickets are $50 each, and available from the ballet. For information, call 334.222.6620.
