Red Level came up short in area play Monday night against Flomaton, losing in the 11th inning, 4-0.

The game remained a scoreless tie until the 11th, where Flomaton put up four runs to defeat the Tigers (8-5, 2-4 in Class 2A, Area 1).

“We played well, but we missed some chances,” Red Level assistant coach Nate Moore said. “We missed some bunts and hits-and-runs. Cale (Nolen) started the game for us on the mound and then Jonathan Neal came in and threw the ball well for us at the end.

“Flomaton had some lucky breaks in the 11th inning, but all in all, the team played pretty well,” he said.

Red Level will travel to play McKenzie at 4 p.m. Thursday.
