Summer juried art show set

The Lower Alabama Arts Coalition (LAAC) has issued A Call to Artists for a juried art exhibition and sale at The Gallery in Andalusia, Alabama, July 2016.

LAAC will award a $500 Best in Show Award. A $100 award will be presented to the winner from each category. Awards will be presented at a reception for artists and guests on Thurs., July 12, 2016, at The Gallery.

The entry fee is $40, and each entry fee allows three entries. Artists may enter as many times as they want. The eight categories are Acrylic, Oil, Pastel, Watercolor, Mixed media, Sculpture, Charcoal/Graphite/Pencil/Pen & Ink, and Photography.

The Gallery will accept entries June 28, 2016, through 5 p.m. July 5, 2016. Entry fees are due on or before July 5, 2016.

Artwork may be delivered to The Gallery at 116 East Three Notch St., Andalusia, June 28 through July 5, between noon and 5:30 p.m.

All works must arrive ready for display with appropriate frames and wires or bases and display cases. All works on canvas or framed must have wire.
