Straughn narrowly beat Red Level 5-4 in regular season baseball action on Wednesday.

Red Level’s Jordan Walker pitched a complete game and had the lowest pitch count he’s had all season during the outing, head coach Tony Ingram said.

Cody Marler hit a two-run home run, and had three hits for RLS.

RLS had runners on in the top of the seventh inning, but couldn’t get them home when SHS ended the game on a double play.

Straughn’s Lane Sirmon pitched two innings after Cody Crowell put in five innings of work.

Sirmon earned the win for SHS.

Daryl George got one hit for the Tigers.
