Lady Eagles fall to KHS

Pleasant Home finished runner up at the Class 1A, Area 2 volleyball tournament on Monday.

The Lady Eagles fell to Kinston 3-2 (230-25, 25-21, 25-20, 19-25, 11-15) in the championship.

Florala lost to KHS, but scored in the teens during each one of its games, PHS coach Jerry Davis said.

Davis said his girls had the first game pretty much in hand.

“They just held it together pretty good,” Davis said about KHS. “We came out on the short end of the stick.”

For the season, PHS finishes with a 7-6 advantage over the Lady Bulldogs in games won.

“They just won the right one,” Davis said.

Pleasant Home advances to play in the Class 1A South Super Regional at Montgomery’s Cramton Bowl on Friday. The Lady Eagles play Billingsley at 11:30 a.m. on Court No. 2.

In Class 1A, Area 3 action, Red Level fell 3-1 to Brantley.

BHS won the match 25-10, 25-15, 14-25, 25-12.

Red Level faces Jefferson Christian at 10:15 a.m. on court No. 1.
