The Pleasant Home Lady Eagles dominated the Laurel Hill Lady Hoboes 41-13 Saturday in the Alabama/Florida Shootout in Pleasant Home.

 

Jade Self got the Lady Eagles off to a running start by burying a pair of 3-pointers in the first period. Cassidy Godwin and Johnnie Forehand each had 2 points for the Lady Eagles in the first. At the end of the first period, the Lady Eagles had built an 11-4 lead.

 

The Lady Eagles stayed hot in the second period, and by halftime they had increased their lead to 26-9. Self remained on fire, and scored 7 points in the period. River Baldwin and Godwin added 4 points each for the Lady Eagles.

 

The Lady Eagles really ran away with it in the third period, and led 38-10 heading into the final period. Self added 5 more points to her night’s total. Baldwin chipped in 3 points, and Godwin added 2 points.

 

The Lady Eagles had such a commanding led heading into the fourth that the starters were all on the bench for much of the period. Allison Catoe had 2 points in the final period for the Lady Eagles to help give them a 41-13 victory.

 

Self led the Lady Eagles with 19 points. Baldwin and Godwin had 8 points each.

 

The Lady Eagles get area play started today as they head to Kinston to take on the Lady Bulldogs.
