B-team Eagles hold off Red Level

The Pleasant Home Eagles’ B-team edged out the Red Level Tigers 49-27 Monday night in Pleasant Home.

 

Nick Woods came out firing on all cylinders for the Eagles with 7 points to give them an early 7-4 lead.

 

Kale Mancil and Billy Wright each had 2 points for the Tigers in the opening period.

 

Both teams turned it up a notch in the second period, but it was the Eagles who held a 21-18 lead at halftime. Marvin Fantroy led the Eagles with 4 points in the second period. Woods had 3 more points on the night. Brayton Douglas and Mason Kelley each had 2 points.

 

Cade Green buried two 3-pointers for 6 points. Mancil also had 6 points for the Tigers in the second period. Wright pitched in another 2 points.

 

The Eagles began to pull away in the third period when Tyler Myrick got hot from the floor. Myrick had 9 points in the third period to help the Eagles take a 37-24 lead into the final period. Kelley added 3 points. Rico Bovino and Woods had 2 points each.

 

Mancil and Wright had 2 points each for the Tigers in the period. Green added 1 point for the Tigers.

 

The Eagles continued the scoring assault in the final period to take a 49-27 victory over the Tigers. John Bradley and Bovino each had 3 points in the final period. Myrick and Woods each had 2 points.

 

Johnny Coxwell had 2 points in the final frame for the Tigers, and Wright added 1 point.

 

Mancil led the Tigers with 10 points. Green and Wright each finished the night with 7 points.

 

Woods led the Eagles with 12 points. Myrick tallied 11 points in the contest.
