The class 4A No.6 LAMP Lady Tigers were too much for 1A Pleasant Home to overcome as the Lady Eagles fell 8-0 Saturday in the Kirsten L. Dean tournament in Straughn.

LAMP started strong and went up 4-0 in the top of the first.

The Lady Eagles loaded the bases in the bottom of the first, but were unable to get a run across.

Jade Self nearly scored on a passed ball, but the ball came straight back to the catcher who tagged Self for the third out of the inning.

LAMP got a one-out runner in the top of the third, and attempted to steal second on the Lady Eagles. Cassidy Godwin then and fired a bullet down to second to hose the would-be base stealer.

Anna Bulger made a great running catch from her position at shortstop, but with one out, LAMP managed to get four runs for an 8-0 lead.

Self and Tammi Hilson had one hit each to lead the Lady Eagles.
