Eagles top Flomaton on Senior Night

Pleasant Home’s varsity boys basketball team picked up their eighth win in nine games with a 53-46 victory over the Flomaton Hurricanes Friday night in Pleasant Home.

After falling behind early, Robert Scott knocked down a pair of opening period 3-pointers to put Pleasant Home on top 12-9 at the end of the first period.

In the second period, Scott dropped in 6 more points and Nic Woods added 5 points to put the Eagles on top 25-18 heading into halftime.

Flomaton cut the led down to seven to start the third period, but back-to-back layups from Scott put the Eagles up 33-23 midway through the period.

Scott dropped in another bucket near the end of the third to put the Eagles up 36-27 heading into the final period.

In the final period, the Eagles spent a lot of time at the free throw line.

The Eagles were 10-for-23 at the free throw line in the final period, and held off the Hurricanes for a 53-46 victory for the final regular season game of the season.

Scott led the way for the Eagles with 22 points in the win.

Hunter Ward finished the night with 11 points for Pleasant Home.
