Red Level topples Hillcrest

The Hillcrest Lady Jaguars jumped out front of Red Level, but the Lady Tigers never gave up and battled their way to a 4-3 victory in Evergreen.

In the bottom of the first, Hillcrest picked up a run off a passed ball and one run off an error to go up 2-0.

After the Lady Jaguars went up 3-0, Red Level began to make their comeback in the top of the fourth.

Ashlyn Joyner scored the first run on a steal of home and then Meredith Nall came around to score on an error off the bat of Wilkerson.

The Lady Tigers held the Lady Jaguars scoreless in the bottom of the fourth and then Tori Nall tied the game with a two-out RBI single in the top of the fifth.

In the pitcher’s circle, Hall picked up a pair of strikeouts in the bottom of the fifth to keep the score 3-3.

Hannah Colvin opened up the top of the sixth inning with a double to left field and moved over to third on a bunt from Nall.

With one-out, Graysie Lee pushed a ground ball to first base, but it was more than enough to allow Colvin to come in to score the go-ahead run.

Hall led the way at the plate of the Lady Tigers going 2-for-4 with one RBI in the win.

Hall also picked up the win in the pitching circle for the Lady Tigers. Hall threw a seven innings in the win and struck out four batters.

Hall gave up just five hits over seven innings and only allowed one earned run to score.
