The Red Level Lady Tigers beat Luverne Tuesday night in four games 25-15, 25-19, 15-25, 25-21.

“They all played good games,” head coach Heather Walden said. “They looked good and they are playing as a team. They’re setting the ball, they’re digging and hitting the floor. Hustling is my biggest thing and I’ll lose to somebody if we’re hustling. That’s what they’re doing and they are doing a real good job at it.”

Walden added the reason why the girls lost the third game was because of a lack of effort.

“If the game is not intense, they tend to sit back and get lazy and end up losing the game,” she said. “But, by the fourth game, they bounced back. I just want to get to where we win three and get done with it.”

The Lady Tigers will travel on Thursday night to play Andalusia and Walden said the team is capable of winning.

“It’s going to be a good game,” she said. “The girls can play with them and are capable of winning. We’re going to go in there and play hard and whatever happens, happens. I feel like they have a good chance.”

In junior varsity action, the Lady Tigers won in three games, 25-14, 18-25, 15-11.
