The Pleasant Home Eagles (1-3) are ready to get on the road to face off against the Rocky Bayou Christian (Fla.) Knights Friday night.
The Eagles have been playing at home the past three weeks and head coach Robert Bradford said the team is ready to tackle the second half of the season.
“We’re ready to rebound and get in the second half of the season,” Bradford said. “We’ve already played four games and a jamboree for real and we’ve gotten a little bit better and the kids are excited to go.”
Bradford said during practice this week the team went back and concentrated on the “individual.”
“We really went back concentrated on the individual and techniques,” he said. The kids are really enjoying it and are ready to go play another game.”
The Knights run what Bradford says is a “single wing” offense, which has not been used since the 1990s. In a single wing offense, the quarterback does not line up directly behind the center, so the center has to utilize a long snap to the tailback.
“They are a single wing offense,” Bradford said. “It’s a bit outdated and we haven’t seen that in a long time. We are looking forward to playing against it.”
Kick off Friday night at Rocky Bayou is at 7 p.m.
