The Pleasant Home Lady Eagles ended their season Thursday night, falling to Brantley in the Class 1A Sub-Regional tournament, 53-42.

“We just tried everything we could to contain (Eisha) Person — everything we tried she had an answer to,” Pleasant Home coach Kelley Garner said.

Brantley led throughout the contest, 15-9 after the first quarter and 29-24 at halftime.

“We cut it to four twice late in the game, but it was not quite enough firepower to get control of the game,” Garner said. “My players played as hard as they could. All things considered, it was a great effort and I’m very proud of them. They played extremely hard and never gave up.”

Kayla Woods led Pleasant Home with 13 points. Mary Schwartz added seven, Taylor Godwin had six, Brentin Fuller and Kendra Bryan had five each, Emily Byrd and Erica Bullard had three each.

Person led Brantley with 30 points.

Pleasant Home finished its season with a 14-12 record.
