Brantley defeats Red Level, 38-6

The Red Level Tigers fell to the defending 1A State Champs 38-6 Friday night.
Red Level’s lonely touchdown run came with 6:26 left in the second quarter when junior James Feagin intercepted a pass from Brantley quarterback Zach Johnson.
Brantley scored on the opening run with an 82-yard kick-off return and a PAT, to put the Bulldogs on the board, 7-0.
The Bulldogs scored a 32-yard touchdown with 9:20 left in the first quarter; the point after attempt was no good, putting the Bulldogs up 13-0.
Brantley went up 19-0 on a 20-yard touchdown run with 9:26 left in the second quarter.
The next scoring drive put the Bulldogs up 26-0, when they scored on a 1-yard run, and the PAT was good.
The Tigers struck back with Feagin’s touchdown run, putting Red Level on the board, 26-6.
Brantley scored the final touchdown of the half on a 53-yard touchdown run, to put the Bulldogs up 32-6.
Brantley scored the only touchdown of the second half at the five-minute mark of the third quarter, sealing the win, 38-6.
Red Level’s leading rusher was junior Raheem Bullock with 13 carries for 38 yards.
The Tigers will play host to New Brockton next Friday night in their region opener.
