The date has been set for the next Covington County Honor Flight out of South Alabama Regional Airport as Sat., Oct. 1, 2011. Details for the flight will be forthcoming as trip planning continues. Cost for guardians and staff is yet to be determined but will likely be the same as last year’s cost of $550. Veterans fly free of charge. Applications for veterans and guardians will be available the first week of February and can be picked up at the Andalusia Chamber of Commerce, Opp Chamber of Commerce, Covington County Veteran’s Affairs office or will be mailed to you by calling Tonitta Sauls at 334-488-5065 or emailing tws@oppcatv.com.
