Genna Gomillion of New Salem, N.D., formerly of Andalusia, recently won state placement in four races in her school’s varsity track, which earned her a place at the state finals in Bismark, N.D.

Gomillion won a medal and placed fourth in the state. She is also a middle school cheerleader.

She is the daughter of Gene and Donna Gomillion; the granddaughter of Jeanne Gomillion of Andaluisa; and the great-granddaughter of Elsielene Covin, also of Andalusia.
