Dewrell named pitcher of year

Josh Dewrell’s dominant pitching performance on the mound in 2011 netted him to be chosen as the Class 4A pitcher of the year.
The Alabama Sports Writers Association released its baseball All-State teams for each classification, and the Straughn senior was at the top of the list as the No. 1 pitcher on the team.
Nick Allen was selected as an honorable mention at third base.
