Volunteers and city employees were busy putting some of the final touches on the Kiwanis Community Center for Thursday’s Babe Ruth Softball World Series Luncheon set for Thursday.

There are 125 tickets available to the public to attend the Luncheon of Champions welcoming all players to the Babe Ruth 12U World Series this Thurs., Aug. 4,  at 11:30 a.m. at the Kiwanis Center. Tickets, which are $10 for adults and $7 for students,  are available at Johnson Park until 5 p.m. today Tues., Aug. 2.
Troy University softball coach Melanie Davis, will be the guest speaker.
