Zion Chapel swept Straughn in varsity volleyball action Tuesday night.

The Lady Tigers fell in three games 7-25, 16-25, 16-25.

“We just kind of came out a little flat,” SHS coach Marc Tracy said. “We had moments where we played with some intensity and some moments were kind of flat.

“We’re just trying to stay focused right now,” he said.

Crystal Bonds led Straughn with three kills. Angel Carter had five digs and three service points; and Evan Frye and Emily Hammett had four assists each.

In junior varsity action, the Lady Tigers won 25-19, 25-22 over the Lady Rebels.

Straughn (5-6) will play host to Geneva today at 4:30 p.m. for a varsity only contest.
