Red Level went on a scoring spree, and beat Samson 71-42 in area action on Friday night.

“We got in foul trouble early, but let up in the second half,” RLS coach Allen Catrett said. “We shot the ball real well in the second half.”

RLS led 24-20 at half time, and outscored SHS 47-22 in the second half to improve to 12-7 overall, and 2-0 in Class 2A, Area 2.

Red Level’s KJ Lawrence had 19 points, and Troy Nolen chipped in 15 points.

RLS continues its area play on Monday night at home against New Brockton.

There will be no B-team game. The varsity girls will start at 4 p.m., and the boys will have the night cap at around 5:30 p.m.
