Pleasant Home’s Jeffrey Slaughter finished with a double-double to help lead the Eagles to a 55-42 area win over Kinston last night.
“That was the first time we’ve had good balance in scoring all year,” PHS coach Jerry Davis said.
Slaughter had 11 points and 13 rebounds; Kaleb Powell had 11 points; Josh O’Neal had nine points; and Lance Davis had eight points.
Other players on the team had five points also.
