Pleasant Home’s girls season came to an end on Thursday night, as Brantley bested the Lady Eagles 72-46 in the Class 1A sub regional at BHS.
“We ran up against a very talented Brantley team,” PHS girls coach Kelley Garner said. “I’m very proud of the way my girls hustled and the effort they gave.
“If we’d played that hard last Friday night, the outcome of our season might have been different,” she said.
Pleasant Home trailed 21-13 after the first period, and 41-23 at half time.
PHS outscored the Lady Bulldogs 22-20 in the third period, but BHS put the game out of reach for the Lady Eagles in the fourth period.
Raven Woods led the Lady Eagles with 17 points. Taylor Godwin had seven points; Erica Bullard had six points; Emily Byrd and Abigail Kelley had four points each; Mary Schwartz and Ashley Williamson had three points each; and Kendra Bryan had two points.
Pleasant Home ended its season with a 14-7 record.
