Pleasant Home came back from 17 points down, made a ball game out of it against Georgiana, but came up short, falling 51-41 to the Panthers on Friday night to end the season.

The Eagles tied the game up at 35-35 and trailed 39-35 at the end of the third period.

GHS went on a 12-6 run in the fourth to seal the deal.

“We just didn’t get it done,” PHS coach Jerry Davis said. “Georgiana’s might good. They’re probably one of the better teams in the state in 1A.

“We showed good composure when we got down as bad as we did,” he said. “It was a good night from the stand point of us coming back and making a ball game of it. I think we put a little scare in them.”

Pleasant Home’s Lance Davis, Kaleb Powell and Josh O’Neal had 10 points each for the Eagles.

PHS finishes the season 20-8.
