Pleasant Home volleyball coach Jerry Davis is a happy camper tonight as his Lady Eagles beat Kinston 3-0 to claim the program’s first victory over the Lady Bulldogs.

“We had great net play today,” Davis said. “Today, things went our way.

“Again, our net play was outstanding,” he said.

The Lady Eagles beat KHS 25-20, 25-19, 25-14 and with this victory, improve to 2-0 in Class 1A, Area 2. PHS has taken the lead.

“That’s big,” Davis said about the area record.

Earlier this week, PHS handed W.S. Neal its first loss with a 3-2 victory on Tuesday night.

PHS travels to face New Brockton on Monday.
