Commissioners said Monday they hope a change in regular meeting date will increase attendance.

The group voted to hold meetings on the second Thursday of the month at 5:30 p.m. at the county administration building. A workshop will be scheduled for the Tuesday prior to the meeting at 5:30 p.m.

The next meeting will be a special-called meeting, set for Thurs., Nov. 29. A workshop is set for Tues., Nov. 27.

Chairman Bill Godwin said the upcoming meeting will be held to adopt the rules of procedure for meetings and to hear a special presentation by Probate Judge Ben Bowden.

Those wishing to be notified of upcoming meetings are asked to contact the county administration office and request a notification of meeting forms. Agendas will be emailed on the Friday before each scheduled meeting, he said.
