Red Level beats Eagles

Red Level’s Matt Nolen and Jordan Walker put together seven innings for the Tigers in their 8-1 area win over Pleasant Home on Tuesday night.

RLS coach Tony Ingram said both put the ball in play to get easy outs.

Most of the Tigers’ runs in the win were unearned, Ingram said.

Cody Marler had a two-run home run to lead the Tigers.

“We put the ball in play,” Ingram said.

With this win, RLS improves to 3-9 overall, and 3-1 in Class 1A, Area 3.

Pleasant Home’s Hunter Odom pitched six innings and pitched well, Eagles coach Lamar Gibson said.

PHS falls to 2-8.

Both will complete their area series on Thursday at RLS for a doubleheader.

In softball action, Pleasant Home lost 10-5 to Brantley in a regular season game.
