Opp residents are being asked to be patient when it comes to poor road conditions.

Yashica Musgrove, a resident of District 4, spoke out against the potholes in the area, asking council members about road paving plans within the city.

Mayor John Bartholomew said each month, the city sets aside gas tax funds for paving projects, and currently has $40,000 set aside.

“And each council member is working to compile a list of the worst areas in their district, and hopefully we can use that money to fix those areas,” Bartholomew said.

“That $40,000 doesn’t go far, but when we spend it, we’ll save up some more and do it again.”
