Red Level lost 9-0 and 21-2 to Brantley in today’s Class 1A state playoff doubleheader at BHS.

The Tigers ended their season with a 7-17 record.

Brantley and RLS kept the game close in game one, but the Bulldogs scored seven runs in the fifth to pull away.

In game two, RLS coach Tony Ingram gave the starting pitching job to Jordan Walker.

Ingram said he felt good about the decision.

“He hit five players right off the bat,” the coach said. “He couldn’t find it. He didn’t have it.”

BHS scored 10 runs in the first inning alone.

Ingram said despite the losses, he was proud of his team.

“I’m proud of them,” he said. “They nade the playoffs. They competed like they wanted to in that first game. All year long, they’ve competed.”
