Hampton said 265 people enjoyed the night’s festivities, which included dinner music by the infamous Rainer twins of Opp and a delicious dinner of prime rib served by the Opp High School ambassadors, cheerleaders, student government association members and Future Business Leaders of America participants.

“This year’s event marked a milestone for our non-profit foundation, making it the night annual fundraising event,” said Dr. Jeff Worley, foundation board chairman. “Our foundation supports efforts to improve medical services and focuses on the growth of services to our community, and your support helps accomplish that.”

Worley said while current economic conditions make things challenging, he and other board members expressed their thanks to those who support the hospital foundation.

Entertainment for the evening was presented by Veritas, a five-member male ensemble group that wowed the crowd with a wide-range of musical selections.

Before ending the night, the event sponsors, as wells friends of the foundation, were recognized.
