When the clock struck 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Andalusia’s 2014 municipal election was officially over.

Only one person qualified in each board of education seat open this year. Incumbents David Bryant and David McCalman (Districts 3 and 5, respectively) were unopposed.
District 1 board member Joe Nix did not qualify for reelection, but Walter Lee Wytch did qualify in that seat.

Because only one person qualified in each seat, no election will be held. The new board terms officially begin at the board’s first meeting in November.
