“I had so much fun!”
“I definitely want to be a lawyer after this experience.”
“I am so glad that I had this opportunity!”
These were just a few of the comments from Mrs. Clark’s Family Studies 1 class who participated in a job shadowing experience on Wed., Dec. 2.
Early in the semester, the students expressed their career interests when creating resumes, completing job applications, and participating in a mock interview.
Mrs. Clark set each student up with a person in Covington County who could show them exactly what a typical day in their chosen field would be like.
All of the feedback received from the students was positive; however, some students realized there were aspects about their chosen career they had not considered.
The following are the individuals or facilities that the students job shadowed: The Andalusia Star News; Sharp Edge, Opp, ; Attorney Mr. Corey Bryan; Andalusia Manor; Andalusia Regional Hospital; Andalusia Walk-In Clinic; Andalusia Elementary and Junior High School; Guardian Angel Christian Daycare; Covington Pediatrics; Andalusia Animal Clinic; Oasis; and the Army Recruiting Office.
Mrs. Clark would like to thank all community members who allowed the students to shadow them. This was an experience they will carry with them for a lifetime.
