River Baldwin gets a big block during the Lady Eagles win over Straughn Tuesday night.

River Baldwin looked like a dam on the court Tuesday night as she was letting nothing get past her in the Pleasant Home Lady Eagles 51-28 victory over the Straughn Lady Tigers in Pleasant Home.

Baldwin was an absolute force in the middle of the lane of the Lady Eagles.

The Lady Tigers couldn’t find any space inside that 3-point line that the 6-foot-5 freshman couldn’t reach with her impressive wingspan.

It wasn’t just on the defensive side of the ball that Baldwin thrived, she also had big scoring night of the Lady Eagles.

Baldwin finished the night just shy of a triple-double with 30 points, 12 rebounds and nine blocks.

Cassidy Godwin added 12 points and nine rebounds for the Lady Eagles.

“We are starting to play better,” Lady Eagles’ coach Jerry Davis said. “We are playing really smart with the ball on the perimeter, and doing a great job inside.”
