Lewis is a Covington County native who spent his career in aerospace engineering.

Adams is a Red Level native and is a police officer and an Iraq War veteran.

“First of all, I want to thank God for blessing me in this endeavor,” he said. “I also want to thank my family and friend for all of their selfless efforts to help me get elected. To all of the voters of Covington County, thank you for your support. I now ask you all to unite and help me in this runoff.”

Both men said that they want to improve roads in Covington County.

Adams said he thought the biggest issue facing the county in the next four years is jobs, while Lewis said he money was the biggest issue because it is needed to accomplish everything from maintenance on roads to employee raises.
