Ashlyn Joyner reached with one out in the top of the first inning and later came around to score to put Red Level on top 1-0, but Kinston added three runs in the third and fourth inning to pull out the win.

“Everything we are doing wrong right now is fixable,” Lady Tigers’ head coach Allen Catrett said. “We are a young team and we know that it’s not all going to change over night. We are just taking it day-by-day, and this was a step in the right direction. We want to play against perfection and learn how to bounce back from mistakes in the right way. We are going to get there, but there is still some work.”
