The Red Level Tigers need a win over McKenzie tonight for a chance at making it into the Class 1A state playoffs.

“This is a big game for both teams,” Red Level head coach James Wise said. “They are looking to keep their spot and me and my boys are looking to get our spot in the playoffs.”

Wise said the clash between the Tigers will be a lot of ground-and-pound.

“It’s going to be an old-fashion football game,” Wise said. “There won’t be any speed sweeps our four wide out sets. It’s going to be knockdown drag out type of game. It’s going to come down to who has the best running back, my No. 10 (John Lee) or his No. 3 (Chris Shufford).”

Wise said the biggest thing would be limiting mistakes.

“We can’t make mistakes that hurt ourselves,” Wise said. “If we lose, it needs to be McKenzie that beats us and not Red Level.
