Pleasant Home may not have made the playoffs, but the Eagles (6-4) put together the third-best season in school history.

“I’m satisfied with the way we finished,” Eagles’ head coach Chris Mason said. “I wish we were still practicing this week, but these kids can look back on this season and be proud of what they accomplished.”

The turning point of the year was against McIntosh, Mason said.

“McIntosh was the turning point of the season,” Mason said. “We were down 21-0 and the kids just turned on the switch.”

Mason said that he is excited about the future of Pleasant Home football.

“I’m super proud of this team,” Mason said. “I don’t like losing 12 seniors, but these kids ended with good taste in their mouths and they have gotten this program heading in the right direction. I’ve already had several kids come up to me saying they are interested in joining the program.”
