Brantley edges out Pleasant Home

In a battle to the finish, the Pleasant Home Eagles came up just short in a 3-2 loss to the Brantley Bulldogs on Thursday night in Brantley.
The Bulldogs grabbed an early lead in the bottom of the first inning when Jacob Free came through with a run-scoring single.
A passed ball led to a another run for the Bulldogs in the bottom of the third inning to give Brantley a 2-0 lead.
David Bradley got the Eagles on the board with a single that allowed Aaron Warthen to score.
Josh Ruth then stole home to tie the game 2-2.
The Bulldogs got their final run of the game when the Eagles issued a bases-loaded walk that allowed Adrian Persons to score the go-ahead run in the bottom of the fifth inning.
