Lady Eagles no hit McKenzie

The Pleasant Home Lady Eagles scored often and held McKenzie to no hits in Tuesday’s 18-0 Lady Eagle victory in McKenzie.

In the top of the first inning, the Lady Eagles took advantage of three errors, two hits and a walk to give them an early 5-0 lead.

Ava Bailey picked up a pair of strikeouts and worked around a one-out walk to keep McKenzie scoreless in the opening frame.

Amy Bulger put the Lady Eagles on top 7-0 with a two-RBI double to left field that scored Sissy Martin and Hope Gunter.

Taylor McGhee followed with a fly ball to left that was misplayed and scored Bulger from third base.

Bella Worley then singled with a bunt that scored McGhee fpr a 9-0 Pleasant Home lead.

Tammi Hilson came up two batters later and ripped a single into left that scored Rae Rae Coleman and Worley.

McGhee tripled in the top of the third inning to score Abby Walker, Bulger and Martin for put the Lady Eagles up 14-0.

Coleman singled in McGhee for a 15-0 Pleasant Home lead.

Walker drove in the final run of the game with single to right field.

Walker replaced Bailey on the mound and retired the side in order in bottom of the third.
