Eagles blank McKenzie

The Pleasant Home Eagles got a strong pitching performance from Walt Weaver as they knocked off the McKenzie Tigers 10-0 Thursday night in Pleasant Home.

In the bottom of the first inning, Joe Gibbs drove home the first run of the game with a double to left.

The Eagles added six more runs in the bottom of the second inning behind the power of five two-out hits.

Aaron Warthen had a big day at the plate for the Eagles, going 2-for-4 with two RBIs and one run scored.

Jon Cooley helped lead the Eagles to victory with a 2-for-3 performance at the plate with two runs driven in.

Garrett Barton added two RBIs and one run scored for the Eagles.

On the mound, Weaver struck out three batters while limiting the Tigers to just two hits over the course of five innings.
