Pleasant Home Lady Eagles blast Lady Tigers

The Pleasant Home Lady Eagles used big at-bats to surge past the McKenzie Lady Tigers 16-3 on Thursday night in Pleasant Home.

Abby Walker got the Lady Eagles on the board in the bottom of the first inning when she drove in Hope Gunter with a single to center.

Rae Rae Coleman extended the Lady Eagle lead to 4-0 when she ripped a single that scored Amy Bulger.

A single from Sarah McClung followed to put the Lady Eagles up 6-0.

Sissy Martin then drove in Bella Worley with a single to right.

Walker came back up and hit a hard ground ball to second that caused an error and led to a 9-0 Pleasant Home lead at the end of one inning.

In the bottom of the second inning, Worley drove in Coleman with a single.

A few batters later, Gunter mashed a single to center that scored Worley and Tammi Hilson to put the Lady Eagles up 13-2.

Martin followed with a triple to center that scored Gunter to put the Lady Eagles up 14-2.

Walker finished the game 2-for-4 with four RBIs and two runs scored.
