Red Level falls to T.R. Miller

The Class 1A Red Level Lady Tigers went up against Class 3A powerhouse T.R. Miller and fell 16-0 Friday night in the Pleasant Home Lady Eagles’ softball tournament in Andalusia.

In the top of the first inning, T.R. Miller’s leadoff batter reached after being hit by a pitch.

The runner advanced to second off of an error and then came around to score on another error.

A third error lead to another run and then a single gave T.R. Miller a 3-0 in the opening frame.

T.R. Miller added to their lead in the bottom of the second inning off a double, a single, three walks and three errors.

After two innings of play, T.R. Miller was on top 9-0

Red Level picked up their first base runner of the game in the top of the fourth inning when Meredith Nall ripped a single to right.

Nall then stole second but a strikeout and a ground out ended the Red Level half of the fourth.

T.R. Miller continued to add to their lead in the coming innings as they pulled away for a 16-0 victory.

Nall finished with the Lady Tigers only hit in the contest.
