Board names new assistant principal at AES

Brenda Johnson was named assistant principal at Andalusia Elementary School Monday.

Johnson, who previously served as a guidance counselor at the school, has 25 years experience in education.

She replaces former assistant principal Joey Caldwell, who resigned in May.

The board also:

  • Hired Hannah Rabren as speech pathologist at Andalusia Elementary.
  • Hired Jennfier Burgans as cafeteria worker at AES.
  • Hired James “Monty” Russell” as PE paraprofessional at AES.
  • Hired Jessica Daniels as technology paraprofessional at AES.
  • Hired Bill Clark as maintenance helper/bus driver at Andalusia City Schools.
  • Transferred Garrett Windham from PE paraprofessional at AES to AHS.
  • Granted tenure to Sara Catherine Patrick, English teacher at AHS.
  • Accepted the resignation of Courtney Crews as AES special education teacher.
