Fourth and fifth grade students at Andalusia Elementary School were treated with a presentation from a local historian, Mrs. Sue Bass Wilson, last week. She spoke about the history of Andalusia to help prepare students to write a poem about Andalusia as part of a “Rhyme Around Town” poetry contest. Ten winners will be selected and their “invisible poetry” will be displayed on sidewalks around town. Their poems will only be visible when the sidewalk is wet, either by rain or by using a watering station that will be set up.
