Red Level splits with Kinston

The Red Level Tigers split varsity contests with the Kinston Bulldogs on Tuesday night in Kinston.

B-TEAM

KINSTON 36,

RED LEVEL 24

Starting the evening off with B-team action, Kinston held off the Tigers for a 36-24 victory.

Malakye Wright led the Tigers with 13 points in the defeat.

GIRLS

KINSTON 45,

RED LEVEL 16

In varsity girls action, the Kinston Lady Bulldogs blew past the Lady Tigers for a 45-16 win.

BOYS

RED LEVEL 51,

KINSTON 48

In the final game of the evening, the Tigers fought back for a 51-48 win over the Bulldogs.

Red Level took the a 14-13 lead in the first period behind seven points from Matthew Coleman and five points from Jacob Catrett. Both players knocked down 3-pointers in the opening period.

Catrett buried a pair of 3-pointers in the second period to push Red Level to a 26-18 halftime lead.

Kinston battled back in the third period and took a 37-35 lead into the final period.

Kade Green and Catrett each hit clutch 3-pointers in the final frame to help give Red Level a 51-48 win.

Catrett led the Tigers with 19 points. Catrett hit five 3-pointers in the game.
