BRINGING DOWN THE HOUSE: Pleasant Home Eagles sweep Red Level Tigers

The Pleasant Home Eagles scored early and often as they swept the Red Level Tigers on Tuesday night in Red Level.

GIRLS

PLEASANT HOME 52, RED LEVEL 14

In the opening game of the evening, the Lady Eagles surged and front and held off the Lady Tigers for a 52-14 victory.

The Lady Eagles got a good mixture of scoring in the opening period, with six different players chipping in points.

At the end of the first period, the Lady Eagles were on top 23-0.

Rae Coleman led the Lady Eagles with six points in the opening frame.

Neither team got much in the second period, but Zay McClain got the Lady Tigers on the board with a 3-pointer and Ruby Cooper tacked on a free throw.

At halftime, the Lady Eagles were up 29-4.

The Lady Eagles scored 17 points in the third period to take a 46-10 lead.

River Baldwin led the Lady Eagles with 12 points.

BOYS

PLEASANT HOME 65, RED LEVEL 42

Pleasant Home had three guys score in double digits to give the Eagles a 65-42 win.

The game was close in the opening period with both teams knocking down shots, but it was the Eagles who were up 20-16 heading into the second period.

Pleasant Home’s offense continued to roll and their defense limited Red Level’s chances in the second period as they Eagles went up 45-25 at halftime.

Robert Scott led the Eagles with 17 points.

Tyler Myrick finished with 16 points and Nick Woods 12 points.

Kade Green led all scores in the game as he accounted for 18 Red Level points.

Matt Coleman finished the night with 11 points for Red Level.
