The Red Level Lady Tigers (3-0) continued their strong start by sweeping the Elba Lady Tigers on Tuesday in Elba.

GAME ONE

RED LEVEL 14,

ELBA 0

Red Level had the bats going and Kaitlyn Beverly was dealing from the pitcher’s circle to give the visiting Lady Tigers a 14-0 win.

The Lady Tigers wasted little time to get the scoring started as a one-out double from Alyssa Stewart pushed across the first run in the top of the first inning.

Beverly walked the first batter and gave up a single to the second batter, but rebounded with three-straight strikeouts to end the inning.

Red Level added to their lead in the top of the second inning when a bases-loaeded hit batter and an error led to a 5-0 advantage.

In the top of the third inning, Ruby Cooper was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to move the score up to 6-0.

Dakota Wawrzynaik followed with a hard-hit ball that allowed a pair of Red Level runs to score.

Kayley Ayers followed with a single to load the bases and then back-to-back walks gave Red Level a 10-0 lead.

Kaliyah Whitaker then cleared the ducks off the pond with a triple to put Red Level on top 13-0.

An error allowed Red Level to score their final run of the game.

GAME TWO

RED LEVEL 12,

ELBA 10

In the final game of the evening, Red Level held off Elba for a 12-10 extra-inning victory.

Elba took an early lead, but Red Level came back to tie the game 4-4 in the top of the second inning.

The game continued to go back-and-forth with the lead changing hands several times.

With the game tied heading into the top of the sixth inning, Maggie Wilkerson drew a walk and then came around to score the go-ahead run off of an error.

Elba tied the game again with a steal of home with two outs in the bottom of the seventh.

Olivia Whitefield singled to start the top of the eighth inning and later scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch.

Jayla Poindexter added insurance with a run-scoring single.

Red Level then held off Elba in the bottom of the inning to finish off the two-game sweep.
